Christmas lighting City of Tampere 2014

The pedestrian street in the City center of Tampere has been transformed with light. The idea was to combine some traditional elements from Christmas in a fresh new way.  14 enormous red balls hang against the sky together with some traditional chain-lights. The temporary pole stands have been disguised and there is a thick round “ice plate” on top of it. The blue lit  ice creates a contrast on the overall warm lighting. The Christmas balls twinkle in different way depending on the time of the day.
