Kauppakatu

Kauppakatu is the old main street of Tampere. We designed seasonal lighting for the street which is in use during annual Tampere festival of light. Main feature is the big chandelier above the crossing of Kauppakatu and Kuninkaankatu. The diameter of the chandelier is four meters creating a real eye catching element. Smaller chandeliers with wings highlight the path along the street towards to the big chandelier. Inspiration for the big chandelier came from chandelier inside the nearby city hall. As a little extra detail there is a projected north star in the street under the big chandelier.
